Minister of Transport, Marwan Khitan, on Tuesday met with Canada’s Ambassador to Jordan, Donica Pottie, for a discussion on bilateral ties and means of enhancing them in various fields.
During the meeting, Khitan lauded the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Canada, underlining the importance of strengthening joint cooperation between the two sides in order to achieve the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.
Khitan highlighted investment advantages of various types of local transportation, the safe and attractive investment environment provided by the transportation sector and the development plans and programs that the Transport Ministry is working on.
Ambassador Pottie commended the historical ties between the two friendly countries and peoples, and the distinguished level of Jordanian-Canadian cooperation in various fields, expressing her country’s desire to continue developing and strengthening them.
Concluding the meeting, both parties agreed to continue efforts to enhance cooperation between them in various fields, and maintain communication and coordination in order to serve the interest of the two friendly countries.
