Minister of Interior Tawfiq Halameh on Friday emphasized the importance of adherence to defense orders banning crowding and gatherings, including weddings and election rallies of more than 20 persons.
Halalmeh said strict legal and administrative action will be taken against those who fail to observe the orders. He stressed that adherence to such rules has grown more important in light of the rise in daily coronavirus cases and the failure of some people to abide by health safety protocols.
The minister ordered administrative rulers to give this issue utmost attention in coordination with security agencies.
