Jordan takes part at G20 Anti-Corruption ministers meeting

Jordan, on Thursday, took part in a virtual G20 ministerial-level meeting on combating corruption, which coincides with the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Anti-Corruption Working Group (ACWG) at the Toronto Summit in 2010.

Addressing the meeting via the video conferencing platform Zoom, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) Chairman Muhannad Hijazi said that Jordan is capable to be part of the initiative to support political and economic stability around the world, expressing appreciation for the efforts made by Saudi Arabia, which hosts this meeting, to eradicate corruption.

He explained that Jordan’s participation in this meeting expresses the government’s desire to explore the best international practices that have been launched against corruption and to identify the best means of preventing it.
