India on Wednesday recorded 717 new deaths and 54,000 new cases from the coronavirus (Covid-19) in the last 24 hours, according to the country’s Health Ministry.
The Covid-19 caseload in India reached 7,615,000, while the number of fatalities rose to 115,914, the Indian news agency cited local authorities as saying.
India is the third country in the world in terms of the number of deaths related to the coronavirus, after the United States of America and Brazil, as its death toll has topped 100,000.
