Slight drop in temperatures over weekend

A slight drop in temperatures is expected, on Friday, as hot weather conditions prevail nationwide, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update
Despite the drop, the JMD added, but temperatures are forecast to rise 7 degrees above their annual average
Winds will be northwesterly moderate, picking up at times, and stirring dust in the Badia regions
A chance of light showers is expected at night hours, the JMD said
Temperatures in the capital Amman are forecast to see a high of 38 degrees Celsius, and low of 25 degrees
Highs in the port city of Aqaba will jump to 42 degrees, sliding to 30 degrees at night
