A total of 25 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Ghor al-Safi in the southern Governorate of Karak since Monday evening, governor Belal Nsour announced.
Nsour told Petra that 5 homes had been placed under isolation, stressing that the necessary precautionary measures have been taken to contain the spread of the disease.
Meanwhile, director of Health Affairs in Karak, Ayman Tarawneh, said that all of the new 24 cases recorded today were the contacts of a woman whose infection was confirmed on Monday.
The epidemiological investigation teams have so far collected random samples from the residents of the area, Tarawneh confirmed.
