Normal summer condtions are expected to prevail on Thursday in the mountains and plains, while it will be hot in the Badia areas, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, according to a daily weather report by the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Clouds are forecast to appear at low altitudes in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD said.
Mercury levels in Amman today will range between a high of 31 degrees Celsius during the day and a low of 18 at night, while highs in the port city of Aqaba will climb to 39 degrees, sliding to 25 during night hours.
Temperatures are set to peak on Friday, so it will be relatively hot in the hilly areas and plains, and hot weather in other regions, with northwesterly to northeasterly light winds, the JMD added.
On Saturday, the Kingdom will be affected by a heat wave that will push mercury levels well above annual average by almost 5-6 degrees, and bring blistering conditions nationwide, the Department further said.
