The Arab Parliament has condemned the measures announced by the Israeli government to change the status quo in the Palestinian territories, with serious repercussions for the future of peace in the region.
Speaking during the closing session of the 4th session of of the Arab Parliament on Wednesday, its Head, Meshaal bin Fahim Al-Salami, said peace, based on the principle of a two-state solution, international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative, is the only solution that guarantees security and stability in the region and the world.
In this regard, Al-Salami reiterated the Arab Parliament’s support for the decision of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to cut off all forms of relations with the “occupying power” and to annul the agreements signed with Israel.
During his participation in the session via teleconferencing, the Palestinian President highlighted the PNA’s position on the repercussions of the Israeli forces ’efforts to annex lands and settlements.
