China reported 18 new cases from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to local health authorities.
The Beijing Municipality Health Commission on Monday said that the capital, Beijing, recorded 9 new confirmed infections and 5 asymptomatic cases.
“Some 236 confirmed local cases were registered in Beijing during the period from 11 to 21 June,” the commission said in its daily report, noting that about 22 asymptomatic cases are still under medical observation.
