China has reported no locally transmitted coronavirus deaths or cases in the last 24 hours, as 2 imported cases were confirmed, according to a daily statement issued on Sunday by the country’s National Health Commission (NHC).
The Commission said it had received reports of 83,001 confirmed cases in the 31 provincial-level regions of the Chinese mainland, while the total number of deaths stood unchanged at 4,634, adding that some 78,304 patients have recovered.
“The Chinese mainland had also reported 1,740 cases of imported infections and no deaths. In all, 1,692 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital” the statement further said.
