Monday, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) demolished a Palestinian-owned house in the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah, claiming it was built in Area C without the required permits.
Umm Safa village council head Marwan Sabah told the Palestinian news agency WAFA that the IOF stormed an area and demolished the 200-square-meter house, which was still under construction.
He added that the IOF also bulldozed agricultural lands and roads in the area.
Confrontations erupted between residents and the IOF, who fired tear gas and stun grenades at Palestinians.
