The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirmed that Jordan will host a meeting for the foreign ministers of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Egypt with the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Monday, May 1.
The official spokesperson for Jordan’s Foreign Ministry Sinan Majali said that the meeting comes as a continuation of the ministerial consultative meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt, which was hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah in mid-April.
He stressed that the meeting comes following the efforts by the aforementioned countries with the Syrian government to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
