Israeli troops Tuesday shot and injured dozens of Palestinians during clashes in Nablus north of the occupied West Bank, which erupted after hundreds of Jewish settlers raided Joseph’s Tomb east of the city
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that the hardline settlers arrived at the site in dozens of buses and vehicles under heavy escort by the Israeli army, triggering clashes with local Palestinians
Soldiers fired live rounds, rubber bullets, stun grenades and tear gas against the protesters, who gathered around the site, injuring dozens of them, it said
