Hamas leader Sami Abu Zuhri stated that Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seeks to stall and maneuver the ceasefire agreement.
He pointed out that the movement has leverage, enabling it to compel Netanyahu to adhere to the agreement.
He affirmed that Netanyahu is not only undermining the agreement but also playing with the fate of the “Israeli” captives.
Meanwhile, Hamas leader Basem Naim told Reuters that holding talks with the occupation through mediators regarding any next steps in the ceasefire agreement depends on the release of Palestinian prisoners as previously agreed.
Naim clarified that “there will be no discussions with the enemy through mediators before the release of the prisoners who were agreed upon in the prisoner exchange deal.”
The Israeli Occupation government had announced the postponement of the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners who were scheduled to be freed in the seventh batch, linking its decision to Hamas’ conditions.
