A total of 24701 Covid-19 infections were recorded in the UK on Sunday, pushing the caseload to some 942275 nationwide, according to the Department of Health and Social Work (DHSW).
The lung disease killed at least 310 within the last 24 hours as the death toll nears 45675, the DHSC added.
