Jordan continues to swelter in scorching weather

The blazing heat wave that is currently sweeping across most parts of the Kingdom has pushed temperatures well above annual average by almost 7- 8 degrees today, bringing hot and dry weather with clouds at different altitudes, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD)

The JMD predicted that the heat wave will roast the region through the coming two days. Therefor, weather conditions on Thursday and Friday will stay blistering, with clouds appearing at medium and high altitudes and northwesterly moderate winds

Temperatures in Amman today will hover around 39 degrees during daytime, sliding to 24 at evening hours, while the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba will see a sweltering 41 degrees during daytime, dropping to 29 at night
