The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) forecast that normal summer conditions will prevail on Tuesday and Wednesday in the highlands and the plains, while it will be relatively hot in the Badia and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.
Clouds at low altitudes are also forecast to appear in the northern and central regions, the JMD said, urging the public to avoid direct exposure to sunlight, especially at noon.
Toward Thursday, a slight rise in mercury levels is expected, bringing blistering conditions in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while it will remain fair in the hilly areas and the plains, the JMD predicted.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Tuesday will range between 32 and 28 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 20C or even 15C in the northern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 40C and a low of 26C.
