TTU, German agency discuss cooperation

President of the Tafila Technical University (TTU), Omar Maaitah, and representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation, discussed mechanisms for expanding areas of cooperation between the two sides.

During the meeting, held on Sunday, Maaitah stressed the university’s keenness to consolidate cooperation relations with various international institutions in all fields, expressing appreciation for the German Agency’s role in providing services to refugees, and working to empower and qualify them professionally, to obtain job opportunities that guarantee them a decent living, and help them overcome their ordeal and the rapid integration in the host community.

Representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation lauded the university’s success in supporting young people’s orientation towards technical education, which is reflected in significant increase in the number of students enrolled in technical education programs, in addition to the university’s success in changing the stereotypes of technical education in the Jordanian society.
