Earthquake hits southern Sharm El-Sheikh

An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale on Tuesday hit the south of Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh at 5:39 pm local time, the Jordan Seismological Observatory/Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said.

The earthquake occurred in the Red Sea, “25 km” south of Sharm El-Sheikh, at a depth of “19 km”, according to observatory data.
