Fair weather conditions are expected to prevail in the highlands and the plains, while it will be relatively hot in the Badia areas, and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its forecast for Tuesday.
The department warned of fog formation in the morning hours over the heights in the northern and central regions, and of direct exposure to sunlight in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba as well as the desert.
On Wednesday, mercury levels will drop few degrees, making relatively hot weather in the hilly areas and the plains, and hot conditions in other regions, with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
Toward Thursday, the Kingdom will be affected again by a hot air mass, pushing temperatures 3-4 degrees above annual average and bringing scorching conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while it will remain relatively hot in the highlands and the plains, the JMD predicted.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom today will range between 28 and 31 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 21C or even 15C in the southern highlands, the JMD added. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 39 degrees and lows sliding to 27C.
