Bagdad demands Washington, Tehran to exclude Iraq from disputes

 Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafha Kadhimi Sunday said he had asked the U.S. and Iran to “settle their disputes away from our country.”

Khadimi told the la Repubblica daily Iraq has been “an arena for conflict and dispute, and we need to opt for a diplomatic road to settle disagreements…”

He said his staff has been in contact with the U.S. Biden Administration to establish regional dialogue, expressing his aspirations to turn Iraq into a country that can “manage crises successfully.”
