A number of Jerusalemites were injured tonight during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces near Bab al-Amud and al-Sahira and on Sultan Suleiman Street, the link between them in occupied Jerusalem.

“The occupation forces brutally assaulted Palestinian citizens while leaving the Al-Aqsa Mosque in a scene that has become repeated daily in the holy month of Ramadan, and they prevented Jerusalemites from staying at Bab al-Amud Square and expelled those present there to the nearby Nablus Street,” the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated in a statement.

In the neighboring town of Silwan, clashes erupted between the occupation forces and demonstrators, and in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, violent confrontations broke out with the Israeli occupation police, who attacked the neighborhood’s residents and those in solidarity there and arrested a number of them and injured others, the PRCS added.
