Temperatures are expected to rise few degrees on Thursday, so warm and spring-like weather conditions will prevail across the Kingdom, with northwesterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

On Friday, a further increase in mercury levels is expected, making relatively hot weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, and warm conditions in other regions, with northeasterly to northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust in the Badia areas, the JMD said.

Mercury will continue to rise on Saturday, becoming above annual average by 6-7 degrees, but similar weather conditions will remain, with southeasterly to northwesterly active winds at times, the department predicted.

Temperatures in Amman today will reach a high of 27 degrees Celsius, dropping to 13C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a high of 34C, dipping to 20C during night hours.
